Yes, the recording will be shared

38:31
That's a great suggestion. Actually one of the question that I have been asking my students when introducing themselves in my class during this COVID quad system is: "Describe something you did during the pandemic that you would consider as kindness." Their responses have been enlightening.

51:24
Please send out the recording of this. I have to leave and would love to hear the rest.

53:48
@Ingrid, will be sending the recording tomorrow. Take care.

01:16:52
Thank you Barbara! Great tips, and I think we can apply them not just to our kids/teenagers, but potentially to any person around us!

01:17:58
agree

01:18:03
Please go ahead with asking questions

01:18:21
I'd like to hear more about how to keep kids observing social distancing etc.

01:18:27
Thank you very much Barbara, it’s been a wonderful talk.

01:19:35
How do you try to keep the student focussed during online learning, Tend to get distracted on social media?

01:20:01
Now with social media, our kids find out about peer deaths before we do. How do we help them deal with death they find out about before we do?

01:20:28
Thank you Barbara and Mackenzie for organizing. It was inspiring

01:20:41
I am wondering about trying to pull out some of the potential “positive” experiences with this and have them draw on this… like learning some self reliance and I am not sure what else but maybe some time for self reflection

01:20:57
The biggest challenge we have is with screen time… not sure how to keep them engaged off their mobiles/laptops.

01:21:09
Thank you Barbara, great information.

01:21:21
how can they improve their time managementwhen they are with anxiety & depression.

01:21:50
Any suggestions on getting teens to get counselling / therapy who are not open to it when you know it will benefit them?

01:22:14
in person vs. virtual: normal thinking is that kids at any age need communication with peers for mental health, building friendships, etc. But current in person is very similar to virtual as they can't be together and should be all be apart. would like to hear your opinion on if in person worth the risk, thank you

01:22:46
We tried to do social distancing at home but feel very disconnected with my son. Is there a way help to stay connected in a pandemic situation? Or even when they go to university how do we stay connected with them? Any magic method?

01:32:12
I guess my question was are there any positives that we can bring out to our kids about what our kids going through

01:32:18
For how long they should be outside for fresh air??

01:33:05
thanks a lot for your valuable advice.

01:33:31
is 15 minutes per day enough to get fresh air in this cold weather ?

01:34:25
kids must use Devices

01:34:35
Ooops

01:34:56
Thank you for the advice and the perspective on raising teenagers. Great learning opportunity for us.

01:35:16
How to compensate for kids are socially isolated and have not been in person with friends for several months?

01:35:18
Any ideas for helping those kids who need the ability to have control over something when everything now is out of their control, so they start trying to control younger siblings?

01:35:42
Thank you Barbara, I will take your wise words and advice with me in my classroom! Great presentation!

01:39:14
@Abigail TPH recommends minimum 15 minutes outside. If with others and you cannot be physically distanced, mask must be worn.

01:39:17
Encourage kids to use Devices as a learning tool. Not just social media. To help with On-line LIFE skills.. . such as RECEPIES to learn how to cook basic dishes they like; Good onLine Exercises or Dancercise.

01:40:29
